The Cutera XEO® laser is one of the most versatile and powerful platforms available for vascular treatments. Its ability to treat both superficial and deeper veins with different laser wavelengths ensures that clients receive highly customized care for their unique skin concerns. Whether you're treating small facial veins or larger vascular lesions, Cutera XEO® provides safe, effective, and comfortable results.
These lasers work by emitting specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by the blood in the veins. The heat from the laser causes the vein to collapse and gradually fade away, allowing your body to naturally eliminate it.
Nd:YAG Laser: Ideal for deeper veins and larger vascular lesions.
KTP Laser: Best for treating superficial facial veins and smaller spider veins.
Cutera’s laser combines power, precision, and versatility, allowing us to treat both superficial and deeper veins with a single device. It’s an excellent option for clients who want fast, visible results with a comfortable experience.
Treatable Conditions:
Facial spider veins
Broken capillaries
Telangiectasia

Frequently asked questions
-
Cutera XEO® effectively treats facial spider veins, broken capillaries, rosacea-related redness, small leg veins, and other vascular lesions. It is especially effective for both superficial veins and deeper vascular concerns, offering versatile solutions with minimal downtime.
It does not treat varicose veins.
-
Cutera XEO® uses specific wavelengths of light to target hemoglobin (the red blood cells in the veins). The light energy is absorbed by the veins, causing them to collapse and eventually be reabsorbed by the body. This process results in the veins fading and becoming less visible over time.
-
The number of sessions needed varies depending on the size, type, and location of the veins being treated. Most clients see visible improvement after 1–3 sessions. During your consultation, your provider will assess your specific needs and create a personalized treatment plan.
-
Most clients experience minimal discomfort during the treatment. Many describe it as a mild warming or snapping sensation. To ensure comfort, your provider will use a cooling system, and treatments typically do not require any anesthesia or numbing.
We do offer pain and anxiety management when necessary.
-
There is minimal downtime with Cutera XEO® vein reduction. You may experience slight redness or swelling in the treated area, but this typically resolves within a few hours to a day. You can return to your normal activities immediately after treatment.
-
Results will gradually appear as the treated veins collapse and are naturally absorbed by the body. You can expect to see visible improvement in 1–3 weeks after each session, with full results often appearing 4–6 weeks post-treatment.
-
Side effects are minimal. You may experience a slight pinkness immediately post-treatment, which usually subsides within a few hours.
-
Cutera XEO® is suitable for most skin types and can effectively treat both small and larger veins. A consultation with one of our experts will determine whether this treatment is ideal for your skin condition and goals.
